Dear Singing Sisters and Friends,
We acknowledge and recognize the power of ongoing protests against racism and police brutality. We take seriously our responsibility as a chorus that believes music bridges cultures. The Board has gathered and begun deep conversations about our role going forward, including a statement of direction and concrete actions we can take to guide our journey toward becoming a more inclusive and diverse organization. We welcome your questions, concerns, or thoughts, so please contact us.
As you know, we won’t be meeting in person this summer and fall. We are, however, creating new and different ways of coming together. Technology is our friend (most of the time) and the wonderful thing about raising our voices is that we can sing together or alone-together using video conferencing. We can also gather for purely social times to chat and catch up on the latest happenings in our lives.
We’ve created a short survey to find out how we can best approach our chorus engagement activities. It shouldn’t take more than five minutes - please fill it out! We’d appreciate it if you could fill it out by June 30.

Monday, June 22, 6:00 PM: Happier Hour (with Pets) Bring your drink and your fuzzy, furry, or scaly baby! We’ll hydrate together while ooooing and ahhhhing at the incredibly cute pets we own are owned by.
Monday, July 13, 6:30PM, singing at 6:45PM: SING IT OUT! Our first virtual summer sing-along will be led by Wednesday Aparisi from the Middle Highs and will feature songs about strength. We know that in times of struggle and pain throwing back your head and belting out “Lead With Love” will bring some relief! Suggest old favorites or new joys and we’ll fill up our hearts with music.

Monday, August 10, 6:30PM, singing at 6:45PM: SING OUT LOUD! By this time we’ll have this whole virtual sing-along thing down, so join us for our second musical gathering!
